Bridal -

Do I need an appointment?

Bridal appointments are required, especially for Saturdays. On weekdays, there may be walk-in availability, but we ask you to call first to ensure a timeslot that works both for you and the available stylist. The latest appointments we take are 3:30pm Monday and Friday, and 6:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Saturday is subject to change, but the latest appointment taken at this time is 3:45 pm. This ensures you will have enough time with the stylist to receive the best I Do I Do experience. Appointments are recommended, but not necessary for bridesmaids and mothers. If you have a bridal party of 4 or more girls looking at bridesmaids we require an appointment. Sunday and Wednesday private bridal appointments are subject to availability, please check with the shop to schedule an appointment. We require a credit card number upon booking to confirm private appointments, along with regular contact information, as there is a non-refundable scheduling fee of $50. This fee only applies to private appointments. 

What should I expect from my appointment?

Bridal appointments typically last about an hour and a half. We assist you in selecting approximately 8-10 gowns to try on. We have slips for optimal gown shape/privacy and bustiers available upon request. We recommend wearing comfortable undergarments, a strapless bra where possible, and minimal to no makeup (lipstick). Your stylist will assist you in and out of gowns to ensure ease in the process of trying on and help prevent any possible makeup smudges or tears in fabric.

How do I make an appointment?

Calling is the preferred method and best way to see real time availability. Our phone number is 240-243-0050. You may also email us through our webpage to schedule an appointment please include your name, wedding date, preferred appointment date and time, and phone number.

How many people can I bring with me to my appointment?

We do not limit to the number of guests you may bring with you, but we have limited seating and recommend larger parties schedule weekday appointments.

 

What credit cards do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are all accepted along with cash or check. We are able to split between cards if necessary. All purchases must be paid in full, unless an item is put on 30-day layaway in which case 1/3 of the item price is required. All special-order mothers and bridesmaids gown order payments are required in full before they will be placed.

After my order is placed for my wedding gown, how long will it take to arrive?

Average shipping takes 5 to 8 months, depending on the designer and the type of gown (bridal, bridesmaid, mothers). Custom changes to special order gowns also increase shipping time. Most designers have rush shipping options, although not all gowns qualify and will need to be checked when in the store.

Am I allowed to take pictures?

We allow you to take pictures and video, as it is a great way to compare your favorite gowns. We recommend limiting your photos to your favorites, so as not to confuse yourself when reviewing photographs.

How do you determine what size I will wear?

Every designer cuts differently and no gown will be cut perfectly to your shape right off the bat. In terms of special order gowns, your stylist will take your measurements (bust, waist, hips) over your undergarments and compare them to the designer size chart of the gown you have selected. This ensures the best fit in the gown you will order. We will recommend you are size based on the designer’s size chart, but the final selection is always yours. If you measure between sizes, it is always best to go with the largest measurement as fabric can be taken in with alterations, but there may not be enough extra to let out. In terms of consignment and off the rack gowns, we determine your size based off your street size and add one to two sizes as bridal runs small and some gowns may have been altered already.  The consignment or off the rack gown you fall in love with will be yours to take home on the day of your appointment so any alterations will be done directly to the gown. The same rule applies, it is always better to have a bit more fabric than too little when selecting these gowns for alterations purposes.

 

Do you accept returns?

All sales are final. This final sales policy is consistent with the bridal industry standard. 

 

What are the price ranges of the gowns that you sell?

Wedding gowns range from $900-$3000. Bridesmaid’s gowns range from under $100 up to $300. Mother’s gowns range from $300 to $1000. Payment in full is required to place your order.

Do you dry clean and preserve gowns?

We do offer professional dry cleaning and preservation services. Please contact us for pricing regarding cleaning/preserving your gown.

Bridesmaid and Mothers Questions-

Do I need an appointment for my bridesmaids and/or Mothers?

Appointments are not necessary for Mothers or bridesmaid parties of 3 or less people. If you have a larger bridesmaid party coming in, please give us a call and set up an appointment to ensure you get the full attention and assistance of a stylist.

How long should I allow for bridesmaids’ gowns to arrive after ordering?

On average bridesmaids’ gowns take 3 to 4 months to arrive once ordered. We place your whole bridesmaid party order at once, after we have received payment from each party member, to ensure the dye lot matches for all the gowns. Rush shipping is available from most designers and is an extra charge per dress.

How can I make sure my bridesmaids gowns are the best fit possible?

We recommend having as many bridesmaids come into the store as possible to try on the gown you have selected and get measured by one of our trained consultants. If you have bridesmaids out of town, please ensure they are measured properly. We will assist by emailing them a measurement form to take to their local drycleaners, seamstress or bridal shop. The most common issue is measuring too far down in their waist, please ensure they measure your natural waist or the smallest part of the torso above the belly button. Every designer’s sizing varies so once we have received each bridesmaid’s measurements, we will recommend the best size for them based on what they match up to and the final selection will be theirs to order. Fabric can always be removed, it cannot always be let out, so it is best to go with the size closest to your largest measurement when ordering. We explain this to each individual bridesmaid whether in person or by email before filling out and finalizing their order form. Extra length is usually necessary if you are 5'9" or over, and is an additional fee. Please consider the heel height you will be wearing. If you are unsure if you will need extra length, it is best to try on the gown at a dealer near you.

If I order the wrong size bridesmaid’s gowns will the designer exchange sizes with me?

It is the policy of the bridal industry that there are no exchanges and all sales are final. Bridesmaid’s gowns are cut just for your order. The gowns are not kept in stock. I Do I Do places your order to ensure dye lots match in the size you request. If another gown must be ordered, there is no guarantee of exact color matching.
